Why we give
Giving financially is one of the simplest ways we can worship and trust God with what He's given us. Your gift also allows us as a church family to fulfill the mission and ministry the Lord has given us.
Members of First Baptist Watauga are encouraged to tithe in accordance with God's Word. The tithe is regular giving of a portion of one's income that supports the ongoing ministry budget of the church. The budget is established by the congregation preceding each fiscal year and is overseen by a church treasurer and a group of volunteers who are selected by the congregation. This provides several layers of accountability for the use of the Lord's money. The annual church budget is available to any member by contacting the church office.
There are several opportunities for special giving throughout the year to support specific missions or ministries that are beyond the regular budget. These include building and remodel programs, state, national, and international missions efforts, as well as, special local ministries and camps for youth and children.
How we give
There are different ways to give to support the ongoing ministry of First Baptist Watauga. The easiest way is to simply click on the "Give Now" button below or the floating giving button that is on each page of this site.
Envelopes are provided every Sunday along with your bulletin and can also be found in the main auditorium with giving boxes located by each exit for those who prefer to give in person as a part of your worship experience. Additionally, many of our members use their personal bank's bill pay platform.
Any and all gifts are carefully handled for privacy and all funds are handled with the utmost of integrity, accountability, and transparency. We are grateful for every penny that is given to the Lord's work through First Baptist Watauga.
