  • SnackPacks for Backpacks

Our Snack Pack ministry provides a way for students to serve, as they gather together on Wednesday evenings for Midweek services. Every week, they pack over 40 grocery bags to assist local elementary students on the weekends. Thanks to this ministry, kids who might otherwise not have much to eat over the weekend, can be fed.

    How can you help?

We can always use donations of grocery sacks, as well as financial donations through our online giving platform, which helps pay for the groceries we put in the packs.

  • Academy 4 & Leaders5

Academy4 and Leaders5 are mentoring programs designed to foster enduring connections between communities, churches, and schools. Academy4 provides one-on-one mentors to every 4th grader, meeting monthly during regular school hours to promote self-worth and positive futures. Volunteers, recruited from various groups, gain insights into the needs of schools and families, moving beyond transactional generosity to relationship-focused involvement. The leadership development curriculum teaches students traits like listening, encouraging, and serving. Graduates from Academy4, now in 5th grade, become mentors in Leaders5, practicing leadership skills by guiding 1st graders and engaging in community service projects.

  • Kid’s Beach Club

Beginning in the Spring semester of 2024, First Baptist Watauga will partner with KiDs Beach Club to reach unchurched children and their families with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This club will be an after-school program once a week for 12 weeks hosted at Grace Hardeman Elementary School.

  • Sharing Christmas

We're on a mission to share Christmas joy with local children, focusing on the Birdville and HEB school districts. Teaming up with Christmas Providers, Watauga UMC, and El Buen Samaritano, we identify needy families and commit to supporting every child in two Watauga elementary schools. In early December, we deliver groceries, food, and gifts.

Here's how you can help in the month of December:

    1) Adopt a child by visiting the Sharing Christmas table on Sundays.

    2) Give directly to Sharing Christmas to contribute to gift purchases.

    3) Shop for children if you can't donate money.

    4) Assist in distributing gifts on a designated day in December.

Our Judea and Samaria:

Texas & North America

We extend our mission beyond our local community to share the Gospel across our state and the nation.

  • Prison Ministry

First Baptist has supported the Michael Unit in Tennessee Colony Texas for the past 8-10 years. One of the main prisoner programs that we support is called Life Coach. This program teaches men how to be men holding them accountable for their actions.

    How can I get involved?

Our church supplies pens, composition books, speakers, and TVs. Also, every quarter, we ship 500 of the Word for You Today devotionals. The best way to get involved is to give toward this ministry so we can continue to give these men supplies and devotionals.

  • Send Relief

Send Relief is an organization through the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. Their efforts minister to those in need across North America such as refugees, disaster victims, and more. From time to time, our church sends individuals on mission through Send Relief to help across North America. While we currently don’t have any trips planned, let us know if a trip on their website interests you.

To the Ends of the Earth

Over the past two decades, our church family has served alongside international missionaries in Peru, India, Jordan, Japan, and other locations around the world.
