What is the good news?
Simply put, Jesus is the good news for all people. However, in order to understand the good news, we must also understand the bad news of sin and death. The scriptures below help us to better understand our sin, separation from God due to our sin, and the good news of Jesus Christ our Lord.
SIN | ROMANS 3:23
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
DEATH | ROMANS 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
LOVE | ROMANS 5:8
But God proves his own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
FAITH | EPHESIANS 2:8-9
For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God's gift--not from works, so that none one can boast.
LIFE | ROMANS 10:9-10
If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. One believes with the heart, resulting in righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, resulting in salvation.
